The Cypriot or Cypriote syllabary, also known as the Classical Cypriot Syllabary, was a syllabic script employed in Iron Age Cyprus during the period from the 11th to the 4th centuries BCE, before being superseded by the Greek alphabet. Some sources propose that the script may have still been in use as late as the 1st century BC.
