The Faliscan language is an ancient and extinct Italic language that was spoken in the region of Falerii Veteres, which is now modern-day Italy. The Faliscans were an ancient Italic people who inhabited the region north of Rome in the 1st millennium BCE. Falerii Veteres was situated near the Tiber River. The Faliscan civilization is believed to have flourished during the 1st millennium BCE.
Writing direction: Faliscan texts were written from right to left, but some have been found from left to right as well.
