The name rudraksha (sanskrit: rudrฤkแนฃa) stems from Hindu mythology and means โthe eyes of Shiva.โ It is believed Lord Shiva meditated on the welfare of mankind and emerged crying tears of compassion. Upon hitting the earth, Shivaโs tears crystallized to form trees. Upon these trees grew the rudraksha seeds.
Benefits of Rudraksha:
*Medicinally, rudraksha seeds are known to heal mind and body ailments, reduce heart disease, and lower blood pressure. They are also believed to increase clarity and general awareness, calm the central nervous system, help quiet the mind, and free negative thought.
In addition, they are said to be cooling when worn against the skin, and increase energy and stamina while providing rejuvenating qualities. Rudraksha mala beads can help deepen your meditation practice and guide you in daily life.
